Klondike Solitaire is the best known version of the solitaire games. I would have to lie if I were to speculate just how many millions of times it gets played on a daily basis. The difference with Klondike solitaire is that there are points you can score for getting certain things done in the game.

Well I am not here to mock Klondike solitaire as I actually quite enjoy it. From time to time I still play it and I think it is probably one of the best ways not to waste time working.
Playing Klondike solitaire is very easy and it takes all of a few seconds to learn. However the game has this knack of getting you confused and all twisted up as you try to clear all the cards.
Here is the basic idea of how to play Klondike Solitaire:
Basically Klondike solitaire is played in exactly the same way as the very popular PC version, however there are a points you can score you different actions you take in the game.
At the start of the game you will be given the points table laying out exactly what you can score where. The objective in the game is to stack the cards at the top of the screen in four piles. The piles of cards should all have the same suit and these are stacked from A through to the K (A, 2, 3, 4……. Q, K).
As with the good old version of the game in Klondike solitaire you can also pile up the cards in columns of alternate colours and descending in value. If column is empty you can place a K there and build it from there, but not any other card.
Tips on playing Klondike solitaire:
In short, the best advice I would be able to give you is to just play the game regularly. It is really a lot of fun and free, so why not.
But okay… a few tips to help you. Whenever a column opens up and you have the opportunity to move a K into that spot, do it. You will open up more possibilities for yourself to clear all the cards and that is the basic idea in any case.
Then secondly you shouldn’t get ahead of yourself. You will be able to clear cards to the top four piles at will.
However, you might make things very difficult for yourself when playing Klondike solitaire in this way. Rather hold the cards at the bottom for as long as possible so that they may be used to complete critical combinations of cards.
As mentioned earlier the best way to improve is by playing Klondike solitaire a lot. So work less and play Klondike solitaire more. You know it is the right thing to do even if your boss doesn’t agree.
Believe me that once you have figured out the whole points system, you will be chasing those scores. It actually becomes quite challenging, but the great thing is that it is free Klondike solitaire. So when you are online, you can play for as long as you like.
Getting those scores might drive you to the brink on insanity, but there is nothing wrong with that. Sane people are quite boring anyway. Let the Klondike Solitaire challenge begin!
